Hosted by the Ocean Realm Society and Wakatobi Marine Preserve. The "State of the Oceans Summit (S.O.S.)" is an annual gathering whereby organizations from around the world participate in open forums, present year-end environmental "Blue Papers" for an annual S.O.S. Report publication, and network among the ocean environmental industry and participants.

The first annual State of the Oceans Summit will be held in Orlando, Florida, Thursday, November 1st, 10am to 9pm - in conjunction with the 2007 DEMA Show.

Location of S.O.S. is the Orlando Orange County Convention Center (on location during DEMA). Room number S320B.

A call for "Blue Papers" from environmental and educational organizations has been made for publication in the first annual S.O.S. Report. This report will summarize the various organizations end-of-year
activities and projects - thus a review of the State of the Oceans.

No fee for white paper submission or attending the Summit. Organizations planning to be in attendance during DEMA are encouraged to reserve a fifteen minute presentation slot to review their White Paper.

All organizations interested in participating, submitting a white paper or simply attending should contact Summit@StateOfTheOceans.com.
